The 2023-2024 Season

As some people know, one of my favorite things in life is a ringside seat for our son’s passion for soccer. This was his second season at Seattle United (he plays on a Select team) and their first season playing 9v9. For him this meant playing a new position, switching from left wing to a central attacking midfield role (like his idol Andres Iniesta). For the team it was a learning season, since 7 of the 13 players were new to the team. But it all came together in the State Cup and they ended up winning the trophy, mostly on the back of a relentless press and a stout defense.

In addition to cheering from the sidelines, I also record and livestream all the games using a Veo 2 camera system. Last week, I created a short video of some of my favorite examples of his midfield play through the season.
